Cobalt Chrome

Our Cobalt Chromes are made of an alloy consisting of chromium, cobalt, molybdenum and iron. They provide a thin, strong, rigid framework for partial dentures. At BDS Laboratory, we can either supply a finished chrome skeleton and you can have your local laboratory add the teeth, or we can do the job in it's entirety. Our technicians have great skill and many years of expertise in designing primarily tooth-borne frameworks that protect the delicate tissue structures surrounding the teeth.

Cobalt chrome frameworks can be designed in various ways to suit individual patients, for example using a 'skeleton' or 'equipoise' design which minimises the surface the denture will come into contact with. We always design the denture to ensure any preparation of the natural teeth is kept to an absolute minimum and we use beautiful layered acrylic teeth to give a natural and life-like look for your patients.
